Customized Shellfish Record Management

Versions
There are currently 3 versions of the Shellfish Data Management database.

SDM 2: Standard
For use by traditional farms that purchase their stock inputs from hatcheries or nurseries.

SDM 3: Abalone

Designed for and in conjunction with onshore abalone farms.

SDM 5: Hatchery
For use by Hatchery Producers where stock batches or groups are produced from introduced brood stock. Both databases are customisable to the users needs in order to accommodate ALL facets of shellfish farming.
To make a seamless transition from your current record management system, SDM has incorporated the ability to use your current terminologies to describe your "day to day" activities such as sizes, products, holding units, sites, batches and tanks, racks or lines.

Features
Multiple sites
With shellfish farms often being diverse operations with multiple sites, SDM can record and report information relevant to an unlimited number of sites AND combine them for overall management reporting.

Multiple species
For shellfish farms that currently produce multiple species, or as farms diversify into new species, SDM has the ability to manage and report on multiple species of shellfish within a farming enterprise. New species can be added at any time without compromising the current data.

Follow each BATCH or GROUP of stock introduced to, or produced by the enterprise. Compile information and reports on company sites, locations (racks, lines or tanks) and storage units, with the ability to find and report on;

Easy to use Navigator
With large button display, navigation through everyday tasks is easily achieved.

Pre-formatted Reports and Data Collection Forms
At the Press of a button, SDM has the ability to deliver a variety of reports including consolidated information to assist in completing quarterly reports for Government Departments. There is also a selection of Data Collection forms that can be printed, for use by staff in the field, to collect the Data for entry to the system. These forms are produced in Microsoft Publisher 2000 and can be customized to suit individual requirements.

License Agreement
SHELLFISH DATA MANAGEMENT is sold with a Licence Agreement that allows usage on individual or multiple workstations. It can be used on a peer to peer or server based network and has all the functionality of Microsoft Access 2000. Remote users can be downloaded to synchronize data for Group or Enterprise reporting.

System Requirements
Shellfish Data Management will operate on any Pentium 1 or higher PC that has "Microsoft Access 2000" installed. It requires a minimum 64 MB of RAM to function efficiently and requires a minimum of 40 MB of Hard Disk space. System speed is enhanced with Pentium 2 or 3 systems using 128 MB of RAM and operating at 400 MHz or faster.
